Pré-Saint-Didier's Orrido Skywalk
Privileged point of observation over the Mont Blanc chain.
Orrido's new trail and skywalk is an easy tourist route running along side the “Orrido” gorge.
From the Valley: Go past the Pre-Saint-Didier's Spa and proceed for about 200 meters. On the right near the bridge you will find the beginning of the trail that crosses the woods for about 1 km with a vertical drop of 180 meters. Average travel time is about 40 minutes uphill, about 20 minutes downhill. Warning: strollers or bicycles are not allowed on the trail.
From the Summit: By car from Pre-Saint-Didier, along the National Road n. 26 towards La Thuile for about 3 km. Pass the first tunnel, and after 300 meters turn right in location Plan du Bois near the Mont Blanc Adventure Park, where you will find the parking lot. From there a flat dirt road, closed by a chain, will lead you to the scenic walkway in about 10 minutes.
Panoramic walkway
Above the path there is a beautiful panoramic walkway over the gorge of the “Orrido di Pré-Saint-Didier”.
At a height of 160 metres, this walkway offers unrivalled views over the Mont Blanc range, the “conch” of Pré-Saint-Didier with the villages of Champex, Palleusieux and Verrand, as well as breathtaking views over the waterfall of the gorge and the thermal spring cave.
